Abstract

This chapter introduces a wavetable synthesis model for the French horn in Csound. The model is intuitive, since it uses a single spectrum to describe each part of the horn's range. Predefined amplitude envelopes control the desired articulation and ensure that the tone gets brighter with increasing amplitude.
