Abstract

Real estate is currently the world's largest asset but it is one of the last to adopt technological change and innovation. Real estate investment is a complex process with high barrier, high cost, inefficiency, and low transparency. The efficiency of asset management and trading have always been one of the hot topics in the industry and the key things behind all the redundant process and cost are the trust issues. One of the most important concepts behind the blockchain technology is the trusted ledger. So we investigated the possibilities of innovation in real estate with blockchain technology. The solution and investment platform we propose based on blockchain technology and token economy intend to break the traditional trust-based dilemma, reduce the cost of redundant third parties, and accelerate the efficiency of asset identification and circulation. We have done simulation practice about asset tokenization with ERC protocols as well as smart contract in Ethereum and have tried to commercialize the solution with user cases in the market. Besides, we also have tried to build the prototype of the platform and have iterated it several times according to our business strategies and the feedback from the market. Finally, the detail of the commercialization process about the product named IPoint is presented.
